Book Training Courses

Courses organised by the MDBKA can be booked via our Course Bookings Scheduler. Before you can book any courses, you must have a username and password. Please click on the “Book Training Course” button on the left or “Login then Training Login” on the Home page and on the next page click “Create new user account” link.


THE BASIC BEEKEEPER TRAINING COURSE FOR SPRING 2022 


Building on the great success of the 2021 style of course we will be offering 50 places on our 2022 Course which will begin on Monday the 31st of January 2022.
The course will comprise:
6 weekly Zoom session on Monday evenings
This will be followed by 6 fortnightly practical session in the Apiary at the Dower House in Heaton Park.  This will include practical things like equipment assembly and maintenance and an introduction to Microscopy.  The 6 sessions will run in two separate groups on alternate Mondays.
The cost per person will be £140 which will include membership the Association and the BBKA for 2022 (this includes Insurance for Beekeepers and their hive(s) – terms and conditions apply. It also gives members access to the Association Shop where beekeeping equipment etc can be obtained at good prices).
A copy of the Associations Handbook will be provided which gives lots of useful information including contacts detail for suppliers etc.
Participants in the Practical sessions will need a bee suit, some wellingtons/protective boots and some nitrile gloves (which can be purchased at the Apiary).

PLACES ARE LIMITED TO THE FIRST 50 – First Come, First Served.

# Tablet – Android or iOS 

# Mobile phone –  Android – iOS ( not suitable for PowerPoint due to size.)
